CV and  Publication List

Since the beginning of my career I have enjoyed pursuing both technical and scientific endeavours in astronomy.

Currently, I am a post-doctoral researcher at Leiden Observatory (The Netherlands). My main research focuses on investigating, from an observational vantage point, the assembly history of galaxies in the high-redshift Universe (z>4), with a particular emphasis on the bright/massive end.

I very much liked the three years spent as Support Astronomer at ESO La Silla. This experience gave me the opportunity of fulfilling my interests in the technical aspects of observational astronomy, from service observations to supervising the operations of imaging cameras, both personally and through the interaction with technicians. Furthermore, it impressed on me the value of the procedure-oriented environment of a major Observatory. I cultivated multi-language programming skills (C, Python, IDL) through active collaborations in a variety of projects, spanning from the implementation of observation scheduling for robotic telescopes to data reduction pipelines.
