If you are planning to stay longer than 6 months you must be registered in
the register of population (bevolkingsregister) at your local town hall.
If you live in Leiden this is the Stadhuis in the Breestraat.
Remember to take:
your passport.
a legalized birth certificate
a legalized marriage certificate (if applicable)
After registration, please make sure you get a declaration from the register
of population (uittreksel van het bevolkingsregister). You will need
this at the Tax Office.
