This menu still needs a lot of work to incorporate all recently added software, so expect the unexpected...

Image Proc

This contains image processing tools, like AIPS, Gipsy, Midas etc.

This contains spectral line analysis programs like Class.

This contains the various plotting and graphics programs, such as IDL, Mongo (various flavours) and xfif.

This menu contains all other programs not falling into one of these categories, such as Mathematica and spreadsheets.
