A number of activities have been conducted including the organization of a summer school 2000l from 18 to 22 September 2000 at Leiden Observatory on ``Space and Ground based Optical and Infrared interferometry'' Percheron et al. 2000, and a fall workshop 2001 on "imaging with the VLTI" on 11 October 2001, and a GENIE workshop in June 2002.
