I'm a NOVA Fellow at the Leiden Observatory. I mainly study low mass galaxy formation and evolution using data from the Very Large Telescope and the Hubble Space Telescope. In particular, I am involved with large surveys using MUSE, an Integral Field Unit on the VLT, as well as the 3D-HST survey.
I am an active member of the GTO team for NIRSpec, a revolutionary instrument that will be on board the James Webb Space Telescope. (More NIRSpec content coming soon!)
I am also involved with the LEGA-C Survey (also using data from the VLT) and have estensive experience with instruments at the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT).
I previously did my PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy working with Hans-Walter Rix and Arjen van der Wel.
