Cold gas in distant galaxies

My PhD Thesis (2021) focused on the study of cold gas—the fuel for star formation—inside distant galaxies, in particular in the iconic Hubble Ultra Deep Field. The main thrust behind this work has been the ALMA Spectroscopic Survey of the HUDF (ASPECS), a large program with ALMA that provides a unique census of the cosmic cold gas and dust content of galaxies.
