I am an astronomer and a Fellow at the Leiden Observatory in the Netherlands. My research is focused on the formation and evolution of galaxies from the early universe to the present day.
Most of my work revolves around understanding the physics of star formation and the interstellar gas and dust inside galaxies through cosmic time. To study these galaxies, I use observations from large telescopes around the world and in space, such as the James Webb Space Telescope and Hubble Space Telescope, radio/sub-millimeter telescopes like Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA), Northern Extended Millimeter Array (NOEMA), and the Jansky Very Large Array (JVLA), and integral-field spectrographs such as MUSE on the Very Large Telescope.
