SfinxLite TWM - root window
The root window is the area of the background not covered by any application
window or icon.
It is usually filled with a background pattern, color or image (although the
latter option is strongly discouraged because of the load it imposes on memory
and network usage).
Mouse bindings in the root window
Clicking the right mouse button brings up the
main menu
which contains all entries for opening new application windows, manipulating
your X11 environment, restarting the menu system and - last but not least -
logging out.
Special key bindings in the root window
- Control-Escape : restart TWM
- Control-R : refresh screen (sometimes the screen is so messed up
that it is virtually impossible to get to the refresh function
in the menu).
- Control-L : refresh screen
- Control-I : call up an Icon Manager
- Control-H : hide the Icon Manager
