Unlock Keyboard
Sometimes, an application gets hold of the keyboard and refuses to release it.
This function can often solve this problem.
Hardcopy
After this command has been selected, the cursor will change shape and you
can select a window, which will then be printed on the default printer.
Lock Screen
This invokes the xlock program to lock the screen, and display a
moving pattern. You have to type in your password to unlock the screen.
Note: users are not allowed to lock the screen of a public workstation. The penalty is so severe, that I dare not mention it here !!!!
So use this function only on the machine on your own desk, and only for short periods, like a coffee break.
Screen Saver
This will blank the screen and display a moving pattern until a mouse button
is pressed. Some of the patterns are quite CPU-time consuming.
Besides, there is a standard X11 screen saver that is automatically enabled
after a few minutes of inactivity.
Show / Hide Icon manager
This shows (or hides) the Icon manager
just like the Control-I and Control-H keyboard sequences in the root window.
TWM Window list
This pops up the built-in TWM menu containing the names of all windows.
Selecting a window from this menu iconifies or deiconifies this window.
Display Info
This pops up a submenu allowing you to display various kinds of information
about the display or a window.
Restart
This command restarts TWM.
It is also bound to the Control-Escape keyboard sequence, in case TWM is so
messed up you cannot reach this menu any more.
