Lake Powell

Lake Powell is a national recreation area created for those with boats but no where to put them in the desert. It's a great place and although I didn't get to take a boat out, I'm sure I'll be back. The vistas of Lake Powell didn't come out that great because of a lot of air pollution that day. But check out the images from Antelope Canyon (near Page, AZ) and Horseshoe Bend.

Lake Powell at sunset. The water is bright green blue and the canyons a deep red, but this image doesn't convey it.

Antelope Canyon. This corkscrew/slot canyon is unbelievable. Everyone goes to the Upper Canyon and pays quite a bit to Navajos to walk through, but it's beautiful.

Another image of Upper Antelope Canyon.

I was the only person in Lower Antelope Canyon when I was there, but it was just as impressive and also it was free.

The light in Lower Antelope Canyon created different colors. I had my flash on for this one.

Awesome!

This is Horseshoe Bend, a famous bend in the Colorado River just south of Lake Powell. The little white dot on the right side (open the picture to see) is a boat.

If you are looking for a picture of me, this is the one I will show you. These girls (at Antelope Canyon) were quite fun. I made them pose for four pictures (I'm not kidding).
