The Orion Bar
The Orion Bar is the interaction zone between the H II region surrounding
the Trapezium stars in the Orion Nebula and the dark molecular cloud behind
it.
We have observed this source in various molecular transitions at millimeter
wavelengths.
Here
's a picture of a map in the H2CO 2(12)-1(11) transition,
observed at the
NRAO
12 m telescope
at Kitt Peak.
Here
's another map : HCO+ 3-2, observed at the
JCMT
on Mauna Kea, Hawaii.
This is work I do together with
