I'm an Assistant Professor at Leiden Observatory in the Netherlands. I use observations of distant galaxies to study their evolution through cosmic time. The picture you see above was taken at the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), a powerful new (sub-)millimeter interferometer we're building near San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, that I've been lucky enough to help commission and use in my own research.
