about my research

I study the properties of galaxies at redshifts up to z~3, primarily using near-infrared imaging obtained with the HST/WFC3. This instrument allows us to study the rest-frame optical structure of distant galaxies with great precision and to great depth.

My name is Daniel Szomoru. I am a PhD student at the astronomy department of Leiden University, working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Marijn Franx and Prof. Dr. Pieter van Dokkum (Yale University). My thesis will be completed in the summer of 2013.
