Research
My main research goal is to image and characterise extrasolar planets around nearby stars in our Galaxy. To this end, I am involved in several novel instrumentation methods and developing new techniques to improve the high contrast capability of today's ground based telescopes (MMTO, LBT and VLT) and tomorrow's telescopes, notably the European Extremely Large Telescope.
- Direct Imaging of Extrasolar Planets
- Robust Coronagraphy with the Apodizing Phase Plate
- Phase Sorting Interferometry and PSF modeling
