Mijn Onderzoek
We bestuderen de evolutie van sterrenstelsels. We kijken naar
sterrenstelsels die zo ver weg staan, dat het licht er vele miljarden
jaren over heeft gedaan om ons te bereiken.
Op deze manier kijken we terug in de tijd, en kunnen we zien hoe
sterrenstelsels gevormd en geevolueerd zijn. De resultaten zijn
spectaculair: we zien reusachtige botsingen, grote geboortegolven van
stervorming in sommige stelsels, en nog veel meer. Kijk hier voor meer informatie.
