Welcome to the ``Compact Object and Accretion" Master course webpage!
We will learn together what Compact Object are, which physics can be learn and how they convert potential energy into radiation through mass accretion
The theory classes will be held on Tuesday at 15:30, starting on the 30th of January and ending on the 3rd of April 2018
The examination will be on the 17th of April 2018.
The material on which I base my lectures is
the book ``Black Holes, White Dwarfs, and Neutron Stars" by Shpiro & Teukolsky
Accretion Power in Astrophysics, by Frank, King & Raine
Optionally, if you read French, find here Prof. Frederic Daigne's lecture notes
Here a useful link for cgs units
